Certainly not better than Shapiro, who is by far the best candidate for statewide office the Dems have at the moment, not to mention that he has shown no interest in the position and there's no reason to think he'll run.

He has SOLID working class appeal, he's young and handsome and he is popular with the Black and Latino community in his district, along with impoverished white people....he sends Medicaid grants to Erie....he could be a candidate who could cut into the Republican base....

Mastriano would be a disaster for the PA GOP. He'd lose to Shapiro badly and probably drag down the Senate nominee with him.

Charlie Gerow, a Republican who announced his candidacy for governor last month, said Friday that he is cooperating with a police investigation into an accident in which a motorcyclist was killed, and that shut down the Pennsylvania Turnpike for seven hours.

Gerow apparently drove for several miles with the motorcycle stuck to the front of his car, according to a witness. In a statement through a spokesperson, Gerow said he did not cause the accident and he was not injured.

Doug Mastriano has a huge following in Pennsylvania among Trump supporters due to his strong support for QAnon and the Stop the Steal movement. Those factors, coupled with 2022 likely being a terrible year for the Democrats, should be enough for Doug Mastriano to win 51-48 against Josh Shapiro.

I agree. Really the election is really Doug Mastriano’s to lose at this point. A scary thing is that Doug Mastriano is a potential running mate for Donald Trump in 2024 and would be even worse than Donald Trump is he is ever elected President.

Democrats need to expand the electorate by registering more non white voters to overcome the strength of the white vote for the GOP. Luckily the people behind the New Georgia Project are working with Democrats in Pennsylvania to create a New Pennsylvania Project which aims to do exactly what I described. And Biden is prioritizing the state by visiting it repeatedly ever since he was sworn in which is good for us too. Still it'll be close.

WI and PA desperately need Biden infrastructure deal and Pittsburgh and Milwaukee bridges and roads need an upgrade, you really think Fetterman and Shapiro and Biden doing better than Hillary are gonna lose Western PA like Hillary and Kate McGinty would have, NOT

It's a 278 Neutral Environment, Shapiro will be the next Gov but it's not D favored, at least there is no blue wave in site with Biden Approvals

In other ye D's would keep the H under Biden 51/46% Approvals but due to Redistricting and Gerrymandering, D's will lose the H without a wave
