It will probably be a very close race. Toss-up either way.

Shapiro is gonna win, once Fetterman wins the Nomination. It would be a major upset if Shapiro and Fetterman lost

Barletta will almost certainly get Trump's endorsement, which means he gets the nomination. That also means Josh Shapiro will win by 5 points, at least.

Rs don't realize Trump is not a likeable candidate among females, minorities and liberal whites due to his Insurrection, he needs to stay away, but he won't, he is polarizing and doesn't get a new vote from any independent

I think the race is Shapiro's to lose, especially if the Rs nominate Barletta.

What's the outlook for the state legislature? As far as I have been following PA politics, Wolf actually had an ambitious agenda when he became gov, but was stonewalled by a heavily gerrymandered GOP legislature. Dems won the PV by 10 pts. in 2018 and still were unable to gain control of either chamber. How is that expected to turn out if we assume Shapiro defeats Barletta in a relatively close race?

Btw, I agree Barlatta would be a good candidate from the Dem perspective, but I wouldn't write him off. I expect Shapiro to win by no more than 3-5 pts.

Yeah, it's too bad that when the CDs got redrawn in 2018 that the state legislative districts didn't get redrawn too, b/c until that happens with a fair map, the GOP will keep control of all of that. Super frustrating. If a 10pt win in 2018 couldn't even do it, then Dems have no hope until there is a new map.

Wolf won by 17, if Fetterman is our candidate, we should win by more in a blue wave 54/46, just like Casey helped Wolf win by 17

They didn't win by 10 points.  The GOP only fielded 144 candidates for the 203 seats while Democrats nearly contested every seat to 183. A lot of the seats the GOP left uncontested were heavily D but it was by no means a 10 point victory.

Infact Biden won by 1 point in PA and won 25/50 districts LOL.

The PA GOP desperately needs to convince Fitz to immediately run. And if you don't want to risk that House seat, get someone actually good. As I said before, this is a disaster in the making. In the meantime, however, congrats to Mr. Shapiro, who will soon be given an promotion.

Lean D if it's Barletta vs. Shapiro. Perhaps a smidge closer to Likely.
