Well the only one with a clear path is Pearson who has a very good chance of succeeded Cohen now should he want it. And Cohen could very well retire in 2024 as he’s in his seventies

Pearson- Will get his seat back, potential future TN-9 representative

Jones- Will get his seat back, maybe tries to run for Nashville Mayor someday or TN-5 if it ever actually gets to the point of being competitive

Johnson- She could always go the Knoxville Mayor route, but it wouldn't surprise me if she wound up the Democratic nominee for Senate in 2024 or either Governor or Senate in 2026.  She originally got elected in a swing district, though it seems to have been made more Democratic in redistricting to sure up Knox County Republican districts.

Hopefully they inject some life into the state party and can attract an Abrams/Wikler-like organizing and targeting brain. If they can get Shelby and Davidson voting like counties of their size/demographics should and build strong turnout operations in Williamson/Rutherford/Montgomery/Madison/Hamilton/Knox they may at least have a path to relevance in the near future. The state is surprisingly more dense and urban/suburban than many realize and not as hard to organize as many probably think.

All of them will get their seats back, the rest is too much of a strech at this point.

If Blackburn gets caught in a dead boy/live girl situation, Pearson would have to sit out the first couple of days of the session since he turns 30 on Jan. 7, 2025.

If you are talking about the same Twitter post that I saw, that was attention-grabbing clickbait.

Someone prominent is going to go for TN-05 in 2024, that's for sure. Between Ogles' perceived problems/weaknesses (mostly from Dems, but also a certain faction of Reps) and the energy activists received from recent events, somebody will try to catch national attention and make a actual go at it.

I think Cohen has already announced for 2024 (could be wrong on that), but it's certainly a strong possibility in 26 or later.

Yes, but it’s likely not going to be Jones. I could see it being Jason Martin.

The other name that wouldn't really surprise me is Justin Kanew, who ran against Mark Green in 2018.  I know he lives in Williamson County (not sure whether in TN-5 or TN-7 though).  But, he's maintained a very high profile among progressives in Tennessee through running The Tennessee Holler, which is probably the most prominent left-leaning political Twitter account/advocacy awareness group in the state.  I also suppose it's possible that he'd rather just stay focused on that though.
