An overt product of colonization with some of the most uniquely horrible weather on the planet but it's home, it's a lean freedom continent.

Also some of the most uniquely beautiful scenery though.

And what's really uniquely horrible about the weather aside from tornadoes?

Your description also applies to Australia, by the way.

Trudeau once said his country’s capital was the coldest capital city in the world.

I would say that's probably right. Reykjavik could give Ottawa a run for it's money though.
That city is warmer due to ocean currents.

I've been to North America once. I liked it. One thing I would note is that it seems to be much more diverse than my native Europe.

Where did you travel to BM? The Big Apple?

I have already mentioned this various times, but anyway:

I visited Washington (DC), a cemetery on the other side of the Maryland border just to add one state to my list, the Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Monticello, Charlottesville (VA), Williamsburg (VA), Savannah (GA), St. Augustine (FL), the Kennedy Space Center, Kendall (FL), Key West (FL), and the Everglades National Park. Plus a bunch of places where I only stopped to lodge or eat.

That's a fair point about Australia, and I would say the same about them, especially with some of their wildlife too. But I don't think there is any other continent with as diverse of severe weather phenomena. It isn't just tornadoes but hurricanes AND cyclones, blizzards and wildfires, volcanoes, dust storms, blizzards, monsoons, and so on. The only thing I don't think that happens in North America are tsunamis.

Every continent is, lol...?  Indo Europeans committed genocide over half of Europe to give the continent their modern languages.  Before that, Neolithic Farming populations displaced the native hunter gatherers.  Bantu peoples slaughtered indigenous Sub-Saharan Africans to forge what we even call “Sub-Saharan Africans” to begin with.  The list goes on.

What we did to the Amerindian Peoples who were already here was wrong ... but it was so NOT unique that it’s not worth noting as a “North American thing.”

I suppose so, but the Americas are certainly the most modern example. I guess the common denominator is that humanity just plain sucks overall.

the best continent is antarctica, which has a population of zero, which therefore means that it is completely free from people who think that pineapple belongs on pizza
