Fayette is pretty clearly the next Metro Atlanta county that will flip to the Democrats. This year it was within single digits in both the Presidential election and Senate runoffs after voting for Trump by nearly 20 points in 2016. How would you rate it for 2024?

As with other whiter suburban counties in big Southern metros that have been discussed here (e.g. Collin), I have my doubts that such a big lurch towards the Dems can be repeated in 2024 due to high levels of racial/educational polarization, although I wouldn't be surprised if it swung a little D still.

This county's future is not Republican. That said the year could be 2028 for Dems but who knows.

It's the type of county that Democrats could lose in 2024 but somehow win in a Republican wave in 2026.

Safe R for 2024, although the margin may narrow some.

Biden got 10k more votes than Clinton which is a huge increase. It probably flips in 2024.

How is a county that voted for Trump by 7 points after a 12-point D swing with changing demographics Safe R?
