Because one of the throughlines of post-war America has been the feminization of the public sphere, and there is a necessary and equal reaction to this trend (coupled with Overton window shifting as politics get more feminized)

What do you mean by "feminization of the public sphere"? Is this a reference to the #MeToo movement and the backlash to some of its excesses? Or a reference to the culture wars we've seen?

I mean simply that women are now more numerous and influential in institutions such as workplaces, government, academia, etc.  This development has brought about all sorts of wide-sweeping social changes and reframed our political/social debates.  Movements like #MeToo are just one example of many that could be made to illustrate this point.

The same facts that make people into Neo Nazis or Jihadists.

Not much difference there -- Eric Hoffer's True Believer. The shared fanaticism reflects the hollowness of their beliefs. Extreme positions take far less to learn (those are almost theatrical stereotypes) than do moderate ones. I have heard of neo-Nazis becoming Jihadists.

Youth is often a frustrating time. Most young adults who have jobs are overworked and underpaid, but working in roles too small for their spirits. If they can't establish a family life as compensation, they can get very lonely very fast. Extremists of all kinds offer simple solutions that offer meaning in life that working poverty cannot. If one is disconnected from the kinship network one may even get a surrogate family that offers much that a family offers.

That is quite true indeed. I can relate. Of course, Neo nazis and Jihadists are socially reactionary by definition especially regarding Jews.

The super online and super political crowd tends to skew ideologically extreme in general. If you're reading a young conservatives Twitter who posts 10 times a day then it's a lot more possible that person is "far-right" (which some people seem to imply as just believing in some conspiracies and trafficking in culture war stuff more instead of actually being ideologically radical). Don't let that mislead you, the younger generation is more liberal across the board, even the younger Republicans are.

Hence why I’m not a Republican.

Young people tend to live in worlds of absolutes, kind of like the libertarians ten years ago, this is even more so if they exist in an echo chamber with constant reinforcement in their beliefs.
