Suppose Beto eked out a win in 2018 senate race over Ted Cruz

I think both parties would invest far more money into Texas just because people would see it as a swing state much sooner.

Biden loses by 5.4% instead of 5.6%.

Both parties already treated Texas as quite competitive in 2020. If Beto won Biden would invest more resources but I don't think this would have ultimately proved to change much at the end of the day.

Biden would have contested the state more and Candace Valenzuela would have won

Both parties would have invested in it more, since Democrats see it as winnable and Republicans realize it isn't a lock anymore.

Democrats likely would've invested more in the state from the get-go, and I don't think they would win it at the end of the day though. Infact, it might have cost them GA because there would be less emphasis placed on the state, and cost Biden the state.
