This should qualify as fraudulent charges and subject her to a formal criminal investigation.

GOP logic:

Trying to launch a coup, inciting violence, undermining every federal agency because they dare question you in public or might enable people to vote against you, doxxing/harassing/threatening/assaulting people who dare question the cult leader, and trying to bully states and counties into altering vote totals, or convince states to appoint their own electors? perfectly fine, that's freedom of speech of legal procedure the founders allowed

Requesting people to wear masks during a health crisis that is overwhelming the healthcare system: Abuse of power! We can't stand for this! Muh freedumbs!

Hopefully committee Dems vote yes so Republicans are forced to take a stance on it one the houses floor.

Yes lets waste time on this instead of governing. Proving cons right about Dems not governing just to own the cons is a bad strategy.

I don't understand why Republican leadership would want to circle the wagons around Greene. There's no benefit to that that I can discern.

She is the best representation of their base. If they abandon her like, they lose votes.

I am asking seriously: has anyone found any conspiracy theory Marjorie Taylor Greene DOESN'T believe?

Since Republicans aren't doing anything to refute this, let's also call on them to live up to this and end the War on Terror, Homeland Security Department, Anti-Muslim policies, and all their other excessive constitution-defying "security" measures that came about as a result. If they aren't calling her out, they're saying none of these things they supported were ever needed.

So how many Republicans will vote yes on the resolution? Kinzinger definitely will, but who else?

Does it really matter much, though? If a majority of congressional Republicans had backbone they would vote to expell this moron from the House. However, over 140 of them showed their true colors on January 6 by voting to overturn an election after an insurrection happened.

I still can't believe they did that. The lunatic fringe.

I saw this coming in 2008. That others didn't is the only surprising thing here.

What did you see?

The base already turning.

Birtherism and other appeals to racisme. The notion of Demcorats or minorities being "not real Americans" and thus needing their voting rights stripped. Obstruction for the sake of obstruction. The general right wing reaction to Obama's presidency, really. Remember the rallies with effigies of Obama being lunched?

"Not my president" started with Republicans and Obama, and there were already Republicans in 2010 and 12 starting to call elections they lost as fraudulant, including claiming Obama stole the election.

It was only a matter of time before these sort of people were elected to office, or officeholders sold their soul to appeal to the worst elements of society to keep their own seats.
