How long 'til she loses her committee seats? I say the over/under is 6 months.

She's done nothing to lose them.

If she has, I could easily make the same statement about Ayanna Pressley for starters.  And Cori Bush.  She's edgy and over-the-top, but she's done nothing to justify such a remedy.  You don't have to support her, but her constituents deserve to have the person they elected to Congress represent them.

YOU don't like her.  Fine!  You can call her an HP to your heart's content.  When you begin to advocate the same for nutty Democrats let me know.  Then, and only then, may you have something.

Ayanna Pressley, although she's well to my left, isn't a QAnon adherent or an anti-masker like Greene is. And she hasn't engaged in showboating of the kind that Greene has.

Pressley has stated that the unrest in the streets should continue "for as long as there is unrest in our lives".  Please don't tell me that this isn't "fanning the flames".  If that's not "showboating", tell me what it is.  It's a call for continued violence, and it really isn't hidden.

Pressley condemned the violence last year, as did most Democrats-including Joe Biden-and like most Democrats, has called for legislation to address issues of police brutality and racial profiling. And she made it clear that she was supportive of peaceful protests against police brutality, and made reference to the late John Lewis, with the Freedom Rides as an antecedent to the protests we've seen in more recent times.

Guys, don't even bother responding to fuzzy bear with these undeniable facts. They have been pointed out to him literally dozens of times with links such as this, an. every single time he absolutely ignores them as if the words simply were never typed at all.

All responding to him does is convince him his posts are still somehow relevant as the legitimate conservative argument opposite the Liberal's point of view", and forces those of us who long ago put him on ignore to actually read his drivel nonetheless.

I made note of this the other day, and I've grown to understand more why many posters on here dislike him. But I wanted to make sure that I got my points across, and that I answered him.

I'm just glad you finally "saw the light."
When you first joined this site, you were joined-at-the-hip with Fuzzy, and agreed with almost everything he said. He was the chef and you were the sous-chef in his bizarre kitchen of producing "strange food" for Atlas users' consumption.

Well, I was "joined at the hip" with Fuzzy because I was genuinely at odds with many of the posters on here, and he was one of the few that was more understanding to me. This is why I'm not going to jump down on his throat like many other posters have, although I'm not unwilling to openly express my disagreements with him, such as on this matter.

Just once in my lifetime I'd like to see a president who doesn't have members of the opposing party calling for his impeachment before his term even begins

Did that actually happen 4 years ago? Huh

Um, yes? Are you paying attention at all?

Because you seemed so sure about your answer I looked it up.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efforts_to_impeach_Donald_Trump....

There were efforts to try to get Trump to disclose his finances and other steps. But no real actual call for impeachment to speak of.

And yes, I've been paying extremely close attention 2 going ons for the last 40 years, so no need to be such a jerk about it in your answer.

The first line in the article you quoted proves my point exactly.

Quote
Various people and groups assert that U.S. president Donald Trump engaged in impeachable activity both before and during his presidency,[1][2] and talk of impeachment began before he took office.[3][4]

Just once in my lifetime I'd like to see a president who doesn't have members of the opposing party calling for his impeachment before his term even begins

They were calling for his impeachment before his term even began. Whether or not such efforts amounted to formal articles of impeachment is not necessary

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene repeatedly indicated support for executing prominent Democratic politicians in 2018 and 2019 before being elected to Congress, a CNN KFile review of hundreds of posts and comments from Greene's Facebook page shows.
...
In one post, from January 2019, Greene liked a comment that said "a bullet to the head would be quicker" to remove House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In other posts, Greene liked comments about executing FBI agents who, in her eyes, were part of the "deep state" working against Trump.

Greene needs to be expelled from Congress.

Are there rules against calling for violence against another member? Do they still need 2/3 vote to expel her or can Pelosi and dems kick her out?

No idea, but it should be a rule that if one member threatens violence or death against another member they're automatically ousted.

If she's expelled, there'd be a special election, right?

Yes:

Quote
O.C.G.A. 21-2-543 (2010)
21-2-543. Special election for United States congressional representative vacancy

Whenever a vacancy shall occur or exist in the office of Representative in the United States Congress from this state the Governor shall issue, within ten days after the occurrence of such vacancy, a writ of election to the Secretary of State for a special election to fill such vacancy, which election shall be held on the date named in the writ, which shall not be less than 30 days after its issuance. Upon receiving the writ of election from the Governor, the Secretary of State shall then transmit the writ of election to the superintendent of each county involved and shall publish the call of the election.

Any member of Congress who believes in the deep state conspiracy, should immediately be expelled from Congress and sent to a mental institution. You are going to get FBI agents shot by MAGA thugs because of the spreading of dangerous misinformation.

The MAGA cult is anti law and order, anti democracy and anti America. They are vile fascist thugs that shouldn't be allowed to participate in a civic society.

Greene is holding a town hall in Dalton tonight.  From a reporter in attendance:

Do you suppose she knows that members of Congress can't be impeached?
