He was still in denial and thought the courts would overturn the election for him then. Only now has reality (sort of) hit. Only now has he finally seen a huge backlash to him even among his own party and administration. Only now has be been banned from social media, losing his platform and ability to reach out to his adoring fans — the most devastating punishment imaginable for a narcissist.

I think it’s safe to say this is worse. Only if he is tried, found guilty, and jailed for any of his numerous crimes (as he should be) could it be exceeded.

It's his worst since the week of the first debate and his COVID diagnosis, yet still much worse somehow! It's interesting to note that this was all his doing though, once again. As I always say, Trump's hubris is his greatest weakness. It was also true of his supporters who descended upon the Capitol. They somehow thought their actions were going to be successful and make them heroes, but if anything it set their interests back.

It was also probably the worst week of McConnell's life. Remember the Georgia runoffs? They were less than a week ago!
