I'd normally say something like "if the Democrats had done this..." or "muh both sides", but honestly, I just don't see the point anymore. This is a very sad reflection of our country, and while obviously not all Trump supporters are engaging in or supporting this, the fact that it's even happening is terrible.

This video obviously needs some more context than I can give it, but it looks like the police have decided on a compromise of "you can overrun the Capitol as long as you're just milling about and not actually doing anything."

You know what, I'm siding with the protestors. The police thought they had an ally, and the lack of arrests so far suggests to me that they still do. And yet they're being betrayed. And I love it.

The protestors, by contrast, have no real power and are just a bunch of QAnon boomers.

Either way, thanks to both sides for giving us this must-see-TV. All I was expecting today were a few boring procedural motions and speeches, but we're getting a real show!
