Sure, with the usual support of US government for these reactionary groups though. Radical anticommunism leading to people going full Nazis isn’t a exclusive phenomenon of Latin America.

These people don’t care whether the adversaries are communists, socialists, social democrats, liberals or moderate conservatives. There is no distinction between all these in the fascist narrative because they’re all adversaries, so their discourse is designed to make them all “radical communists” in order to incite fear within the population and push them to their side. What feeds fascism is always fear and political ignorance. You can be a moderate conservative or a radical socialist, you will get put inside the same box.

This is present in most places and if in US you already get this type of discourse when it’s basically a center-right (Democrats) vs a right/far-right (Republicans), imagine how much worse it would be if US actually had a center-left with more power like in LatAm and other places. It’s certainly not only Hispanics in US who propagate this type of fascist discourse.

I'm sorry he lost his job, but in all truth, there was a failure of duty yesterday.
You have every member of Congress, the current VP, the next VP and many other high profile individuals in that building. I can understand a situation where the guards needed to retreat back to the doors (since they did not plan accordingly, to have a large enough force on the outside).

But once at the doors the guards needed to stand their ground. The guards have no idea how physically threatening those people would be, if they actually got a hold of someone like Pelosi, Schumer, Kamala, McConnell or Pence. Once the MAGA bastards got through the door, the guards should have used their weapons. They could initially shot at the wall/door or maybe at the perpetrators' legs (less lethal). This would no doubt have retreated many of them to go back in fear/shock, as they see their comrades fall in pain. Just one officer showing such force would/could have stopped many in their area/jurisdiction.

Yes, there would have been the most-crazies-of-the-crazies that would have proceeded to advance.
But there would have been much fewer idiots to deal with, and these specific terrorists could have been handled in a more "forceful" manner, if necessary.

I lived a few blocks away from CHAZ.  I never feared for my life or safety.  I never thought they would have any impact on anything.

It was a self-contained mess.  They took over a very small area of the city and turned it into their own private s--thole, and the city shamefully allowed them to do it, due to severe political pressure from the extreme leftists/communists/anarchists (who are not part of the Democratic Party big tent).

The only thing that worried me about CHAZ was that Democrats were not condemning it with sufficiently strong rhetoric, and that Republicans would point to it as "what the Democrats want."  Which is exactly what happened.  CHAZ cost us House seats.  But that is a political concern and has nothing to do with CHAZ's tangible goals or accomplishments.

Contrast this with the attack on the Capitol yesterday.  The Trump Mob was there to overturn the results of a democratic election.  They professed a desire to attack, and even murder, congressmen.  What do you think would've happened if they got a hold of Nancy Pelosi?  Or Ilhan Omar?  We'd be talking about the first sitting congressman to be murdered since Leo Ryan was murdered at Jonestown.

The Trump Mob destroyed more property in two hours than CHAZ destroyed in two months.  They looted more property in two hours than any of the Seattle riots over the last six months.  Trust me, I've walked by some of the businesses that have had windows smashed and stuff stolen.

CHAZ was horrible and stupid.  All the BLM-related riots were horrible and stupid.  It all pales in comparison to Donald Trump's attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Also, Democrats condemned CHAZ and condemned the riots.  Democratic mayors and governors deployed police and the national guard to attack rioters and defend businesses.  Meanwhile half of the Republican Party approves of the riots, and their conspiracy theory was validated by a majority of the Republican House caucus just hours after the attack!

So enough with this false equivalency BS.  If that's the best talking point Fox can come up with, y'all are in deep trouble.  Cause even you don't believe it deep down.

This is so sad if true. I presume it is likely the one officer that was reportedly in critical condition after allegedly being beaten by people with pipes.
Honestly, now I'm very angry. I've been to the Capitol a few times and all my interactions with the Capitol Police have been pleasant to humorous. It's really just security force as opposed to an aggressive, investigative, militarized big city police force. The most frequent policing they have to do is arresting or escorting out people who interrupt committee meetings. Unfortunately, it will likely change after all of this. Resulting in even more distance (in this case literally) between the American people and their legislative branch.
