Senate rejected the challenge to the AZ electoral votes 93-6 With former Senator Perdue's seat being vacant). Senate has gone into half an hour of morning business, whilst they wait for the House to finish its consideration of the issue.

It's what we have.

The difference this time is that COVID-19 was a clear and present danger at any polling place. It was if a dangerous mob collected near a polling place. But one can see a dangerous, angry mob and report it to the local police who will insist that it leave by its own means or by squad car. One cannot chase the SARS-2 virus behind COVID-19 away from the polling place, but one can ensure that people can vote despite the virus. That means early voting (really staggered voting) or voting by mail. The same anti-fraud means (or better ones new to this election) are in place.

If more people vote, so be it. COVID-19 would have been the most effective vote-suppressor ever.

Georgia and Michigan were certified because no Senators signed onto the objections. Is Pennsylvania the only other state that's likely to be objected to and go into discussion within both houses?

Are we still sure a Senator will object to PA? Definitely possible but it's pretty clear that the Senate just wants to get this done ASAP.

I thought Hawley still planned to object to it, but he was going to cede his speaking time.

He's going to be quick to steal the title of "least liked colleague in the Senate" from Ted Cruz's grimy hands.

Certainly seems like it.

Here's the "Ayes" in the house on Arizona's objection:

A lot of these objections are completely unexpected. Stephanie Bice? Jeff Van Drew? Brian Mast? Lee Zeldin? Elise Stefanik? Nicole Malliotakis? Aren't all of these supposed to be on the moderate side of the party?

And a lot make no sense electorally. Don't Mike Garcia and Carlos Gimenez have elections to win? Isn't Guy Reschenthaler thinking about a Senate run?

Ngl would've been nice to see Harris smacked around by a former pro linebacker.

He is one of the most odious creatures in congress and cozy with Gorka's people.
