If there was a "not sure" option, that would be my vote.

Did Pence ever start to regret joining the Trump train and consider stepping down? Has he ever felt trapped working for Trump? Only he knows this. The word was that Pence's wife abhorred Trump's persona so I would not be surprised if Pence himself felt the same way. It's reasonable to think he gave it a chance to pursue his political ambition at the time. In some sense, he's no more guilty than your average evangelical Christian that voted for Trump.

Someone like spineless Cruz, who displayed servility to Trump in attempt to salvage his political career despite Trump's insult, is whom I have no sympathy for.

His political career was going nowhere when he was nominated as Vice-President, he finally did right when refusing to make a travesty of the Transition, and he gets recognition for that. Heck, he could still get a Presidential portrait... if something happens to the Trump Presidency.

Yes. He did not sign up for Trump Nation marching on the capitol with ing guns like that.

This is my new position after yesterday. If the count had gone smoothly and then he'd been savaged by Trump on social media then I'd have said he got what was coming to him, but being put in literal danger of old-fashioned lynching by a man he's been unswervingly loyal to is something else entirely.
