Vote objection to Arizona

SENATE: Yea 6; Nay 93

Cruz, Hawley, Hyde-Smith, Kennedy, Marshalll, Tuberville

HOUSE: Yea 121; Nay 303 (Dem 221; Rep 82)

Vote objection to Pennsylvania

SENATE: Yea 7; Nay 92

Cruz, Hawley, Hyde-Smith, Lummis, Marshall, Scott (FL), Tuberville

Wait, so there were more House Republicans supporting the objection than rejecting it? WTF?

Also, why are House Republicans so much worse than Senate Republicans?
WAY more. 70% of house republicans supported overthrowing democracy. Even AFTER the terrorists gained access to Capitol Hill. That's how bad it is.

But to your question, house republicans are much worse than senate republicans because most house republicans are elected in heavily gerrymandered safe nutcase districts, where Alex Jones and Qanon is mainstream. Senators have to get elected in entire states.

House Republicans answer to a smaller, more polarized group of voters and a senator answers to an entire state. You can't be as radical when you're a senator unless you come from a deep blue/red state.

I can see how somebody (an idiot, but still somebody) could object to PA but not AZ. But what is the reason for objecting to AZ but not PA, as Kennedy did?

In any case, it looks like the only non-southerners on the list are from KS, MO, and WY,.

Fewer than expected in the Senate, more than expected in the House.

This was a good take.

I agree with someone else's theory that it was prearranged that a few of them would vote for one but not the other to make it seem as if there was some sort of thought process that went into it. Now Kennedy, Voldemort, and Lummis can say, hey, we're crazy, but not as crazy as Lyin' Ted and J-Haw.
