Cramer is kind of shocking since he has felt zero shame in making of fool himself for Trump on multiple other occasions.

I wonder if it's the possibility I mentioned yesterday:

Will the release of The Tape cause any Senators to change their minds about challenging the results?  I expect the dirty dozen will stick with their stated intention to object, but I'm thinking that any others who were only leaning toward it may back away from it now.

Cotton was never a Trump suckup like the others. He was just a far-right neocon. Honestly that's worse.

Cotton is basically Dick Cheney

By my count, 21 Republican Senators have stated that they will not object. In comparison, only 16 House Republicans have done the same, despite there being >4 times as many. Goes to show the difference in partisanship (and sanity) between the Houses.

I mean this happened in 2004 too. There were 30 House D's but only 1 Senate D.

True, but I think you misunderstand what I am saying. In 2004, 44 Senate Democrats didn't object and 171 House Democrats didn't object. More House Democrats accepted the results than Senate Democrats. You'd expect that to always be the case, given how many more Congressmen there are than Senators. That doesn't seem to be the case this time, even if it probably works out that way by the end.

A max of two hours debate per state, plus time for each house to relocate to their own chambers for it.  So if several states are objected to, it could drag out for the rest of the week depending on how late in the day they stay in session.

Remember when this guy was an extremist far-right nutjob, one of the worst in the Senate?

He hasn't changed since then, the Republican Party has.

Moran is a no.

That makes over 70 confirmed no votes. Obviously, the effort has a zero percent chance of succeeding, but the fact that this whole charade could go on for a week is irritating.

It's basically a 2.5-3 hour delay per state, so if there are 3 it's going until the evening tomorrow.

Final - Predicting 71 to 28 for Biden

Prediction is based on the totality of factors, including but not limited to, the wording and believability of all statements.

At this point, I wouldn't doubt if someone like Lindsey Graham objected to the electoral votes of the District of Columbia.

COTTON IS A NO

Wow. I genuinely did not expect that.

Guess he's given up on ever being President. Either that or, as someone else just pointed out to me, Mitch has promised him something big. (Whip after Thune's time is up, maybe? God forbid...)

He might be 2024 GOP frontrunner after what happened today.

This was supposed to be the climax of the Rs, and voters are saying that's it, there was no way, the Rs had the votes in either chamber to overturn the election

Wait, so there were more House Republicans supporting the objection than rejecting it? WTF?

Also, why are House Republicans so much worse than Senate Republicans?
