What does the "and vice versa" in the thread title mean? Songs that should be overplayed for being banned? Songs that should be unbanned for being underplayed?

Encouraged if underplayed.

This list is exhausting but not exhaustive.

White Christmas
Last Christmas
All I Want for Christmas is You
The Christmas Song
Merry Little Christmas
I'll Be Home for Christmas
Here Comes Santa Claus
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Silver Bells
Winter Wonderland
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Holly Jolly Christmas
Christmas Time is Here
Jingle Bell Rock
Rocking Around the Christmas Tree
This Christmas
Feliz Navidad

Conversely, some songs that don't get played enough:
Hark, the Herald Angels
Do You Hear What I Hear?
I Believe in Father Christmas
Fairytale of New York
Baby, It's Cold Outside
Down in Yon Forest
Il est né le divin enfant
The Night Santa Went Crazy
Mele Kelinkimaka

Let me know your thoughts.

You've got to be kidding. I never get tired of White Christmas. It was Irving Berlin's greatest song.
I'm also quite partial to The Christmas Song and Silver Bells. I would not include them on a list like this.
You're right about some of the others on the list, especially All I Want for Christmas is You.

And to the posters here who mention Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, about thirteen years ago I moved to Fort Worth and started working for American Airlines in their Aadvantage customer service department. The supervisor I ended up having for the nearly four years I worked there was a guy named Randy Brooks, who was co-author of that song. I and several other AA employees who worked in the corporate headquarters got together every year to sing Christmas carols, and Randy would always lead us in performing that song. I'm quite fond of it, and am honored that I got to sing along with the co-composer.

White Christmas, Silver Bells, and the Christmas Song are fine, unless you have to hear them literally hundreds of times, often horrible pop renditions. Honestly that's true for most of the songs on the list. If I never hear India Arie screech out "if reindeer really know how to fly" or the Supremes' atrocious version of "My Favorite Things" again for the rest of my life, it will still be too many times.

I don't mind the Grandma song but that's probably because I didn't hear it all this year.
