And what does it tell us ?

An average of the last 5 polls has Allen leading Webb 50 to 38. Also, this poll just has a sample of 400. I still wouldn´t rate it as a toss-up race yet. There´s a higher chance Ford is taking Tennessee now than Webb is taking Virginia.

Well, we know one thing about this race: Allen's winning.  What we don't know is whether he's winning by 5 or by 20.

Replace "winning" with "up" and that's EXACTLY what I was wanting to say. (Mind you, if he's up 20, or even 12, he's definitely winning. If he's up five, he's very likely winning. It's a very minor amendation really.)

Lets just say I hope this is one AP/Ipsos poll which isn't too wide off the mark

I don't think so since Zogby has a 5 point race.

Rasmussen +10, AP/Ipsos +7, Zogby +5...Survey USA +20.

Maybe the Survey USA poll really was an outlier.
