There's plenty in 2022...and not just in close races either. How about some double-digit wins?

Why not bring in a "landmass does vote" map?

2022 Washington Secretary of State Election

Steve Hobbs defeated non-partisan opponent Julie Anderson by 4% and 116,000 votes to become the first Democrat elected Secretary of State in Washington since 1960, despite only winning 8 of 39 counties. As with many statewide Dems, King County was key to his victory, as he won it by more than double the number of votes he won by statewide.

Yeah Sand even lost a Biden county while winning. I assume it was the R's home county?

Would you mind posting the maps instead of their image URLs, please, so that my display won't burst? Thank you!

There's a weird inverse example in this year's Nevada gubernatorial race. We're so used to thinking of Clark and Washoe as the only relevant parts of Nevada that it's shocking to see Lombardo winning with neither of them.

Palm Beach would be a weird case of the reverse if it was a swing county at the presidential level. The western area is agricultural and has a lot of black farm workers but overall, its like a few thousand votes in a county of 1.5 million.

Florida could strangely end up being something of a natural R pack between the plurality Cuban areas and the retiree communities.

Excluding the UP with Humphrey didn't even need to win , he only won 6 counties.

1960 is also up there, with how deep red much of the Lower Peninsula is...I guess it's kind of like how Cook County alone can make Ds competitive in Illinois.
