Nathan Deal and Perdue won by unimpressive margins (7.5 points) in a gop wave year that saw the party win in places like maryland and illinois.

atlanta burbs trended D heavily as well.

Trends definitely mean something. I have yet to see an Atlas poster argue that the D trend in GA won't continue.
