He appealed to Southern WWC voters, turned Virginia into a blue state. Can he help Democrats?

His time has probably passed.  Also Kaine flopping in 2016 and the state becoming safe Dem will probably make it harder for Virginians to get on the Dem ticket for a while.

He is just a random generic Democrat right now. I have little doubt that if a presidential election was held in 2006 that he would have been the right candidate but after that the climate had changed too dramatically.

If Warner wanted to be president he would have run already, 2004/08 or 2016/200.

Warner might also have some baggage allegedly. At least that’s what the gossip is around Richmond

Possible #MeToo stuff. I’m really not sure about all the details, but that’s what allegedly kept him from running for president in 2008

The two states that have now picked their partners for life and are no longer swingers anymore.

His stock plunged after 2014, yet another year when Democrats grossly overestimated themselves.

This dude was a spare candidate for three elections now, so no doubt he'll still be "ready to serve" next time even though no one asked

He is a DLC moderate hero stuck in 2005 and lacks charisma. Him and Kaine are boring like Mike Pence.
