I would guess that the most Republican black voters are in Utah and the most Democratic black voters are in Mississippi. The former due to a larger number of Mormons and the latter due to extreme racial polarization in the Deep South.

Nevada showed in Fox exit polls that 19% of African-Americans there voted for Trump.  And would make sense as lots in service industry that is dependent on being re-open so don't want further lockdowns.  Most Democrat, probably in inner cities that over 80% African-American as in many such places Biden got over 95% and Trump in low single digits.

When I've used DRA in the past, I always noticed a lot 99% or even 100% D precincts in places like Brooklyn and Detroit. You see a lot of that or something close to that in a lot of inner cities throughout the country.

If I remember right, I think the exit poll for New York in 2008 had Obama with literally 100% of the black vote (obviously, there's a margin of error with those).

Washington DC could be a good candidate for most Democratic black voters.

Detroit voted 94-5 Biden, which is actually a pretty big improvement for the GOP compared to 2016 (95-3 Clinton), 2012 (98-2 Obama) and 2008 (97-3 Obama).

Monolithically Black urban neighbourhoods are where Black voters are most Democratic, reaching 99% or so in many instances.

As for where they are most Republican, I think it should be either some military installation (disproportionately male and young, and military voters in general - especially at lower ranks if I recall correctly - usually skew Republican) or some combination of these things: disproportionately affluent, disproportionately non-ADOS, disproportionately in conservative religious demographics (Evangelical or LDS), overwhelmingly surrounded by Republican Whites, suburban or rural, relatively little history of racial strife... I'd guess what comes closest is Provo-Orem?

The most Democratic black voters are probably in Deep South states like Mississippi or South Carolina. Of course, black voters as a whole, even with small movement to Trump, are still overwhelmingly Democratic and probably the most monolithic of demographics.

I am not entirely sure where the most conservative ones generally reside with all that in mind.

The most Republican black voters are likely (A) those who are truly Evangelical on issues of abortion, family, and other social issues, and (B) those blacks who are part of the "working class".  I suspect that the most Republican blacks are folks that fall into both these categories.  Not that they're anywhere near a majority of black folks, but that is probably the profile of the black person who regularly votes Republican.

Most Democratic:  inner-city Blacks in cities like Chicago, Detroit or Cleveland

Most Republican:  Military/LEO Blacks in monolithically White conservative suburbs/exurbs, like Williamson County, TN

Utah, a state that's only 1% black, has elected not just 2 black representatives but 2 black Republican representatives to congress in the past few years. It's anecdotal sure but combined with Mormon dominance and everything...gonna go with Utah

Sorry but Trump revisited the Russian and AA division with his cozy relationship. The Cuban Missle Crisis caused KGB to orchestrate terrorists attacks our CR Rights leaders and Robert and Lee Oswald were distant cuz of Robert E Lee and his statues were taken down during Floyd Protests. This is why John James never got momentum in MI with AA

Don't remember where I saw this but someone did some incredible math to extrapolate the most GOP-voting black voters were very wealthy, young, single black males of no religion who lived in a rural area of a liberal state I forgot(may have been California?) and that a majority of this demographic likely votes Republican. David Shor said something vaguely similar to this effect once.
Most Democratic would be elderly black women of meager means in the urban North, in a city like Detroit, Chicago or Philadelphia, but doesn't live in a very or all-black neighborhood

Wouldn't one assume the most republican black vote would be in really wealthy areas like OC?

Adding my voice to the chorus saying Utah for most Republican. Most Utah blacks being Mormons + white Mormons' relatively low degrees of racial animus (ironic considering that it used to be an extremely racist religion) = a recipe for lots of people like Mia Love, Burgess Owens, etc. For various reasons, black people who practice more outré variants of conservative Christianity in general--Mormonism, Adventism, various other Restorationist groups, even Traditionalist Catholicism--seem more Republican than black people who are mainstream Evangelicals or Pentecostals.

Much less so this year than in the past. The "suckers and losers" of the US military hate them some Trump even though they're still "structurally" a very Republican demographic. I forget who it was, but another poster pointed out a couple weeks ago that the military vote and the police vote probably parted ways in this election more than they have in many decades.

Yes I'd say for most Democratic.  You consistently see the two predominantly black wards a darker shade of atlas red than every other ward.

I am perfectly aware of that (although I am not sure whether Biden or Trump carried the military vote this year) which is why I added "usually".
Now that I think about it, I also wonder whether the McMullin effect was amplified with Black Mormons - we'll probably never know.

That sounds like a demographic of 8 people total.

IIRC there was a poll quite a while back that put black support for Republicans in OC extremely high, like upwards of 40% high, but I don't remember when it was or who conducted it.

Other than that my guess is that while black Mormons in Utah might vote Republican black enlisted soldiers probably vote even more Republican than that.

I would add that among Evangelicals and Charismatics, blacks in majority white congregations especially ones that explicitly align themselves with Religious Right causes rather than be politically neutral or aloof probably are much more likely to be Republican. I suspect blacks in such congregations usually are at least middle income and live in racially integrated or majority white suburbs/exurbs, whether or not they have a college degree.

I would guess a lot of black Republicans are military. I have zero data or evidence to back that up, though.

They probably follow the same pattern as other voters.  More democratic in the north and more republican in the south.  With the exception of big liberal cities like Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale, etc.

Minorities who live in racialized neighbourhoods tend to go more D, while those in very white areas tend to be more culturally assimilated to their surroundings and go R. If I had to guess, I'd say the most Democratic black voters are in DC--a combination of a majority-black urban area with a lot of government jobs. The most Republican? Let's say Alaska or North Dakota, where they're disproportionately likely to work in the oil industry and are surrounded by white people.
