I know, I know, it won't happen. But if it were it happen: who would it be? Who, among the multitude of openly gay Republicans, has the best shot at winning the nomination in four years?

The only openly gay Republican I can think of is Richard Grenell. I can’t even think of any gay male Democrats other than Pete Buttigieg and Jared Polis. I guess if you’re also counting lesbian and bisexual women there are also Tammy Baldwin, Kyrsten Sinema, Angie Craig, and Sharice Davids.

There are quite a few gay male Democrats in the House. Mark Pocan, Mark Takano, Sean Patrick Maloney, David Cicilline, Chris Pappas, Mondaire Jones, Ritchie Torres.

I know you're joking but, man, imagine that. Rave Dubin doesn't do well with his ideas being challenged, it would be hilarious.

Michael Huffington was a Republican bisexual Senate Candidate against Dianne Feinstein in 1994, he only lost by 2%. Had no idea!

A lot of the people on that list got outed against their will too, which goes to show you how toxic the GOP has been for LGBT people. It might have gotten marginally better under Trump because he truly does not care at all who votes for him but I'd be willing to bet it will get worse in the coming four years.

I don’t know, Lindsay Graham?  He didn’t get very far last time he ran.

Likely is stretching the term, but maybe someone like Chadwick Moore? He's a gay Trumpist commentator who has gone viral a few times. Probably not as likely Grenell, but if the party keeps sliding towards meme candidates...

Lindsay Graham if he gets outed and after winning the nomination. Otherwise nobody with a chance of winning the primary. Bible thumping might not be effective with the general electorate but it's very effective in a republican primary.

Ric Grenell, he will get the support from rich California white celebrities like Suzanne Somers, etc.

If not Grenell, Dave Rubin, maybe.

This is...way too definitive a statement to make on the issue. (especially since it is LGBTQ and LBTQ)

What's with the idea that Lindsey Graham has to be gay? Just because you're not married doesn't mean you're gay.

Also I just remembered John Schlafly.

He’s obviously gay.
Let’s not kid ourselves here. The only reason he won’t say it is for his career and possibly family.

Why is he obviously gay? This is just so commonly accepted on the left for absolutely no reason.
