Former President Donald Trump runs again in 2024 and wins the nomination, facing little to no opposition. He goes on to beat President Joe Biden in the general election but still loses the popular vote by 2 million votes. Trump has chosen Pence to be his Vice President again.

President Trump maintains the same approval rating (35% - 45%) throughout his 4 years.

In 2028, Former President Joe Biden at age 85 decides to run again, but this time, he faces Mike Pence who beats out Ted Cruz for the nomination. Joe Biden ends up narrowly winning the nomination again, not doing nearly as well as he did in 2020.

How does former President Joe Biden do against incumbent Vice President Mike Pence?

Biden probably wins with very low turnout, and I could see someone pulling a Ross Perot

Honestly Donald Trump probably runs for a third term, as term limits may be overturned by 2024 depending on how many seats the Republicans pick up in Congress and how the state legislative elections turn out in 2022 and 2024.

What exactly are you predicting then?

I am predicting that because the 22nd Amendment has a 50-50 chance of being overturned either by Congress (which is possible depending on the results of the 2022 and 2024 Senate and House elections) or by an Article V state convention (which also might be possible considering that the Republicans are guaranteed to pick up a bunch of state legislatures and governorships in 2022), President Donald Trump would technically be able to run for multiple terms in 2028 if he wins in 2024.
