Who will be Florida's next Republican senator once Scott and/or Rubio are gone?

Whomever is the absolute worst person on that list (there are too many to choose from), I'm sure.

Gaetz or DeSantis.

DeSantis might be locked out for awhile if Scott and Rubio are reelected and DeSantis is reelected governor until 2026.

Matt Gaetz may take over for Scott in 2024 if he decides not to seek reelection

Terry Bollea, a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist from the Clearwater area.

In all seriousness, I'll take the field over these names. The most obvious names left out are people from the legislature: recent past speaker José Oliva, current speaker Chris Sprowls, and speaker-designate Paul Renner are all obvious names from the House, as well as Wilton Simpson and Aaron Bean in the Senate. There's also god only knows how many rich freaks with political ambitions who could become the frontrunner tomorrow simply by writing a check for $25 mil — that is, after all, how we got Rick Scott.

DeSantis, if Rick Scott runs for President in 2024 and DeSantis doesn't, otherwise Pam Bondi.

Scott Franklin is also a possibility.

DeSantis will appoint Salazar, when Rubio is elected President in 24.   Scott does not have the personality to run for President.    When was our last bald President.

Salazar is all class.

Despite what this forum thinks about Gaetz's prospects...

Maybe Matt Gaetz if Marco Rubio is appointed Secretary of State by President Ron DeSantis in 2025. He probably wins the special election in 2026 by a titanium tilt Republican margin.

I actually agree with you about Scott. I too fear the creep's ability to always win, but only in Florida. I just don't see him replicating nationally in either a primary or general election.

Matt Gaetz seems like the most likely, only because I think Scott runs for president in '24 leaving his senate seat open.
