No.
I’m fairly certain Asians and even half Asians are invisible to police.

Yes.  My dad told if the police ever told him I did something wrong I'd be dead.  I believed him.  So I learned to be really sneaky.  Smiley

No, I got "the talk" about the birds and the bees, and from there I inferred how all complex organisms reproduce.  I assume that police reproduce the same as everyone else, though my guess is that baby police aren't given a gun and badge at birth.

I once met a juvenile Homo policia, and he did not have a gun or badge given to him at birth.

Yes of course. My parents told me if I ever got lost from them or ever was in trouble, I run right to the policeman, tell them my name and my address and how they can help me.

That depends on where you live, what kind of police you're talking about, and where in Asia your ethnic origin is from.

No; and what little references I was given about the police were mostly positive. Ironically I was kinda afraid of police as a kid and even now I am always going to be scared about interacting with them; despite the fact that the chances of something bad happening to me would be of 0.001%. Even if I was doing something very illegal, I'd just get arrested.

Also, for some reason my reaction to the video was patriotism and to feel proud in our very own police forces? (in contrast to the American police forces that kill innocent black people). That kinda feels screwed up for some reason; I have no idea why that was my first thought

As a privileged white kid, that was wholly unnecessary, so no. Cops on a few occasions back in the dark ages gave me a pass when I really deserved punishment, and I mean more than not just forgetting to signal when I was making a turn. I did not need a lecture to know that playing nice with cops was co-extensive with my self interest.

Not as a child, and definitely a "middle class white boy" version, but I did get a talk about how to handle being pulled over that hit pretty much all the points in that video when I got my drivers license. Mostly just my mom saying "yeah, the examples they give you in driving school aren't really how that goes" and her telling me about bad experiences she's had getting pulled over - and she's pretty pro-cop as far as Democrats go at least.

This. Which is so incredibly different from the perspective how many people of color have to deal with.

No,

My parents never really talked much to me until my teen years.

I think my Mum just advised "Just smile, ignore the idiots and keep on ploughing on"

I was remarkably autonomous outside in nature with a bike, a cricket bat and ball with my neighbourhood friends.

Compared to children today, my childhood was pure brutality. Neighbourhood kids were vicious and threatening. Even my teacher told me "you kids probably won't amount to much, it's a big world out there, and most people fail in their dreams".

We went water ski-ing once on my first ever holiday at age 9. I was given two chances to get up on the water at age 9. The boat took off, and I fell flat on my face both times.

I was told to leave the water, it was the end of my water ski-ing career, and I went back to the resort that afternoon battered and bruised, I accepted the world as presented and we never spoken of that day again.

You just took your failure in and toughened up and made sure next time you did something special, you did it correctly, because the consequences of not performing was missing out.

If we lost the cricket ball playing cricket, we would have to wait a month before our parents would buy another one.

In comparison to today's children, my childhood was nothing short of torture and brutal consequences.

I was happy with everything up until today when I see how children get everything handed to them on a plate, and have proper training, instruction, personal protective gear for sports, and 1,000 opportunities to do everything until they get it right.

My dad taught me to avoid the cops as much as possible. Good advice I’d say.

My mom believed and taught me that the police are an absolute last resort means. Police racism was discussed occasionally, but obviously that didn't apply to me nor to most of the people I knew growing up, so I was mostly told to walk a fine line, be respectful, and not incriminate myself under any circumstances.

I (or rather, my mom) would still end up getting a nice taste of abuse from police officers when we left our small town in Connecticut, which is neither appropriate for this thread nor something I much care to go into now.

Not at all.
I don't remember ever being given any sort of talk about the police, whether "Black version" or "middle class White version" or "libertarian version" or whatever.
My mom just often told me not to accept candies from strangers when I was a child.

No, here in Portugal there's no big issues about police, although time to time there's some problems between minorities and the police. However, whenever a police approaches you, we, at least myself and many people I know, sometime joke, between ourselves not in front of the police officer of course, for the police officer to just go away! A mimic of the viral tirade of our President in the 90's against a police officer:

Yes. My dad was a criminal defense attorney and prior to that was military police for 4 years in the Air Force. My older brother has been in and out of the criminal justice system since I was in 5th-6th grade so I’ve had more interaction with the police than the average white American household. My dad told me to always ask for a lawyer and to keep police interaction at the barest minimum.
