i heard today that one of mexico's major parties hasn't lost a national election in 100 years.

is that true?

No.

The PRI did rule uninterrupted from 1929 until 2000 and had nearly complete control of both the Mexican Congress and state governments (governors, etc.). So, close, but not quite.
