He retires or loses. He will probably be drawn into a less favorable district, but he would lose anyway under the current lines. He may try to run for senate, but he'd lose at that as well. He may not even win a senate primary, the woke white democratic base is not going to be in the mood for electing more comparatively moderate old white men.
This is a bit ludicrous. Wisconsin Democrats aren't exactly full of "woke" types outside of Madison.
Are there any non-demosaur democratic primary voters who aren't woke? Maybe a few but their numbers are not significant.
