I know somewhere there was a list of how each municipality voted for president but cannot seem to find it.  Does someone have link?  Looks like from preliminary map, Biden gained in heavily white areas and even flipped a few municipalities like Brea, but also Trump gained in some areas, particularly areas with large Vietnamese community like Westminster.  Be interested if data is available.  I know California once everything is counted will provide this.

I haven't seen any official data yet, but from precinct results I'm guessing these are the flips:
Trump to Biden:
Laguna Niguel
Laguna Hills
Mission Viejo
Lake Forest
Tustin

Clinton to Trump:
Westminster
Garden Grove
Fountain Valley

I thought Brea flipped as well, but could be wrong.  Looks like most of the Trump to Biden flips were on the south end of Orange County while the three Clinton to Trump flips were all municipalities with large number of Vietnamese-Americans.  I heard much like Cuban-Americans, Vietnamese-Americans swung towards Trump largely over fear of socialism.

Not to put too fine a point on the last couple posts, but HRC barely won Fountain Valley in 2016 after Romney won it by 14%. It’s no surprise that place flipped back.

I saw a tweet saying Biden was winning Garden Grove by 2% posted on here, but have no idea if that still holds.

Pretty fascinating Trends™ on display here indeed. Makes me curious if anyone better at math than me is interested in crunching Inland Empire and Sandy Eggo numbers for a little regional compare-and-contrast.

What year are these swings relative to? The R swings in Garden Grove, Westminster, and Fountain Valley are way too small to be from 2016. They can't be from 2012 either because Biden won a higher percentage of the vote in Fountain Valley than Obama did.

Theoretically 2016, but it appears I mistranscribed from Excel. I'll update it in a bit.

Rip rino tom blaming demographical change for OC Flipping in 2016 which was a factor, and I guess age change is still a factor this year but Trump almost did pretty damn good with minorities in OC .

I'd love to crunch Inland Empire numbers when they're released. Unforunately, Orange County is one of the few counties in the state that uploads daily statement of vote totals. Not to mention interactive precinct maps.

I really wish more counties here follow their example. It's incredible the amount of information their elections website has

Don't think Trump got 47.77% in Coachella, probably a typo.  Do you mean 17.77%?

The swings seem mostly in line with what we're seeing elsewhere in the state. I was on the fence about whether Palm Desert had a chance to flip this election, so it's interesting to see that it ultimately did. Very curious what the implications may be here for redrawing CA-42 and CA-50.

If you know the area well, you can see some pretty heavy #TRENDZ on display here. If Irvine ever votes left of Santa Ana, the realignment is complete.

For those of us who are not familiar with the county, could someone graciously break this down for us?

Both cities + Anaheim are the most populated cities in Orange County. Irvine & Santa Ana are near polar opposites demographically.

Irvine is an affluent city with a population that is 95% White or Asian, one of the biggest Asian populations in the country by percentage. The city is anchored by a state college & strong tech industry. Santa Ana is more of a working class town with one of the biggest Hispanic populations in the state (4/5 of the city is Hispanic). The median household income in Santa Ana is among the lowest in OC ($53,000) while Irvine is a little more than double that.

Historically, Irvine's political transformation occurred in the last 4-6 years while Santa Ana has been solidly Democrat for ~25 years

Anybody know what date California will post details of municipalities?  I know they have them for 2016 and I would guess once the few remaining ballots counted they will.

Oof, just look at the R swing in the more heavily Latino cities.

Just eyeballing, it seems the only 40%+ Hispanic cities that (barely) swung D were Hesparia and Victorville.

If lowered to 30%+ Hispanic cities, that only adds Barstow, Grand Terrace, Rancho Cucamonga & Upland

It seems like with San Bernardino County, those in LA metro area (although some separate inland Empire) are mostly going for Biden while towns and rural areas outside commuting distance for LA going mainly for Trump.
