For every new vote the Dems win in Charlotte/The Research Triangle, they lose a rural Dixiecrat. What a stubborn state for Democrats. NC was 27% rural in the 2020 election, which is much higher than FL, TX, AZ or GA. It trended a few decimal points to the left in 2016 and a few decimal points to the right in 2020.
