Motion to waive the rules on minimum debate and cloture, Senators have 24 hours to object.

I would desire some advocacy and status updates regards to the situation and any ongoing discussions with MB administration be referred to during this time though.

Well, I failed at writing a budget in time. Let's try it again and avoid a shutdown (which would needless to say be very bad during a pandemic)

Anyways, all updates on the writing of the budget really are just contained in this thread:
https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=399440.0

But to cut a long story short, we need to cost 7 more bills. After that, it "should" just be a matter of packaging everything there from that thread into a nice budget resolution, and decide how we are going to pay for it.

In terms of costing those bills, I PMed Blairite, but got no answers back. I took matters into my own hands and started (very poorly) costing bills, but those aren't going to be great estimates (and are always going to be unofficial unless Lumine or Blairite sign them off, but we do not have anything better)

As always if you want to help, any bill that you cost is a ton of help.

I have not had any discussions with MB at all over this though, but other than helping with the estimates or giving input on what he wants from a budget, I don't think MB would be needed here other than to sign the budget? (or veto it)

As for a timeline, my best estimate is: "At this rate, probably never" Tongue

The situation kinda reminds me of the Atlasia wiki, which has fallen into disrepair. I added the Senate elections the other day, after the senators had even sweared in! (I think Cao did the same with the House elections)

Actually it seems that most bills were very easy to cost (or were given estimates during the debate in Congress), so really the only hard one left is the "PROTECT SOCIAL SECURITY" bill, which will be an absolutely massive pain to cost.

There is also the Coin Composition bill, but that should be easy too.

Interestingly, all bills so far (that aren't one time expenditures) raise revenue, so unlike Lincoln we probably won't suddenly have a massive hole in the budget. (or if we do, it will be just a one time thing)

Because funnily enough, and I credit you a lot for this, a lot of bills we have behaved as if paygo was still in effect and actually tried to fund them.
