If conditions are the same as they were OTL, Lautenberg.

If Kerry or Gore or another Democrat is POTUS, Baroni.

If Kerry was running for a second term in 2008, with a slumping economy, Baroni could edge Lautenberg and send him into retirement.

Baroni 50%
Lautenberg 48%

Kerry would probably have see him only win NJ by 4 points.

McCain's maverick appeal would have worked in NJ. Baroni was McCain's NJ presidential campaign manager.

They are a lot of Obama-Baroni voters
