Indiana: Counties Posting Precinct Results:45/92 Counties Reporting

12/22/20 Update: Added an additional (30) Counties. (Too much typing to post all of the names right this second and map to follow).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11/22/20 Update: Added Delaware, Johnson, Kosciusko, LaPorte, and Vigo Counties

Indiana is one of the more difficult states to obtain precinct results from for many counties.

In 2018, I was only able to finally locate official sources for 55/92 Counties, so instead of searching for links from every county now, I'll just start with some of the larger ones.

Looks like Biden won Fort Wayne.  50.5% to 47.4%, wondering if Obama won it in 2008 or if this was a gain?

Thanks Mileslunn...

I noticed when I pulled these earlier it appeared to be "official final results" from Allen County.

Generally I prefer not to run the precinct numbers for places until I am reasonably sure stuff won't change.

I was planning to update the largest city to vote for Trump in each state thread after I got off of work, which was just now basically.

Yes--- Obama won Fort Wayne in 2008, as I posted on this thread on 10/1/20...

https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=386520.msg7614952#msg7614952

I am interested in comparing the precinct results from '08 > '20 to see where the changes were... Decreasing AA turnout in certain precincts was a factor in '16, from what I recall, but didn't perform a comprehensive survey, which would naturally be best placed elsewhere.

11/21/20 Update:

California--- I just went in and updated the master list upthread to include links for an additional (10) counties with prelim precinct results available:

These are a mixture of fairly small pop rural counties (which typically are some of the first in CA to finish counting) as well as a few scores from the Bay Area.

Alameda County is one which I am particularly interested in looking at once all of the results are official, since you pretty much got a mixture of everything there from the College city of Berkeley, to an extremely diverse City of Oakland, with large Black and Asian-American populations, upper income communities up in the Hills, etc...

Typically we are getting to the season in CA where I would expect a ton of precinct upload dumps from smaller rural counties wanting to get the certification process completed.

The usual suspects tend to hold out to the end until they are required to submit their Statement of Votes Cast (SOVC) to State Election officials (Del Norte and Humboldt Counties are some of the worst, not even posting precinct results until well after the election--- if at all).

Here is Bergen County, New Jersey.

https://www.co.bergen.nj.us/images/County_Officials/Boards__Commissions/Bergen_County_Board_of_Elections/About/Precinct_Summary_Nov_2020.pdf

Biden flipped a bunch of municipalities: Carlstadt, Hillsdale, Ho-Ho-Kus, Lyndhurst, Mahwah, Midland Park, Montvale, North Arlington, Northvale, Oakland, Old Tappan, Paramus, Park Ridge, Ramsey, River Vale, Rochelle Park, Upper Saddle River, Waldwick, Wood-Ridge and Wyckoff. Nobody in Rockleigh nor Teterboro bothered to vote this year.

Looks like he flipped most of the well to do predominately white municipalities which seems to be a national trend.  Donald Trump may be rich and white, but it seems many others in this group are running away from GOP under him.  In some ways seems not just here but nationally, the areas that were strongest for Reagan in 1984 are the areas that swung hardest away from GOP.

Trump won the most exurban/rural areas of the county. He ended up with like 45% of the land on the precinct map with 18% of the vote.

My computer for security reasons blocking Adams and Beaver county but curious with Adams county, did Biden win Gettysburg and what were the results there?  For Beaver County, did Biden win any municipalities and which ones?

Biden won Gettysburg and he won Aliquippa, Ambridge, Beaver Falls, Fallston, Glasgow, Midland and the borough of Rochester.

Hi Mileslunn---

So basically what I am doing here is creating a master sheet for each State, which does not have a centralized State "one source shopping" for precinct results, and updating the list with links, as additional counties are updated.

This creates a more organized structure so that people don't have to scroll through pages and pages to find what they are looking for.

Just go to the list at the top for States where precinct results are available through a centralized State reporting structure.

For those States which do not have a State Centralized reporting structure, I have a master list at the top of the thread, where folks can click on the hyperlink and it will navigate to whatever State someone is looking for...

Keeps it much easier and manageable that way... Wink

Anyways, here is a list to the "Master List" for Texas Counties...  Enjoy Smiley

I just want to add a brief note to explain why there are some States where I have not yet provided County level links for anyone curious:

1.) The overwhelming majority of these States will eventually provide a single-sourced State link where we can obtain precinct results, in a wide array of reporting formats.

2.) I learned how frustrating it was in the 2018 GE to spend a significant amount of time trying to track down individual county links, only to end up having whatever State end up dumping a comprehensive file only two weeks later.

3.) There are certain States (CA, UT, TX, MO, IN, PA, NJ, and NY) which do not provide a centralized precinct level access, so hence my focus has been on pulling the list for those States.

cg4138 has been a HUGE help in grabbing precinct links for two of those States (PA & NJ) singlehandedly... I still do need create a master file and link to the New Jersey County Sites at the top  of the thread, so again apologies for the delay.

4.) I am still holding off on NY, because I seem to recall it being a bit of pain in the arse back in '18, and also with it taking forever to count absentee ballots, I'm not even sure how many counties are even dealing with updating to include precinct results at this point.

5.) I am not opposed to anyone wanting to post links to various county level precinct reporting, even for States which will eventually make it much easier to grab data, it's just not where I feel like investing tons of time in right now, when data will come along later and more accessible... Wink

Anyways--- as I indicated earlier to a poster, when it doubt go to the beginning of the thread, which is where I am trying to keep stuff updated as a virtual "directory" to make it easier to navigate.

I still have to update the US Map, which is something I was working on, but I wanted to grab a few more miscellaneous counties from the "problem states" first...

Indiana- 11/22/20 Update:

I went through the list of the the 11- 20 largest Counties in the State and was able to locate links to precinct results for (5) additional Counties.

Again, please go to the "Master List" for the individual State upthread for individual County links.

https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=412981.msg7784519#msg7784519

Indiana Counties Added:

Delaware
Johnson
Kosciusko
LaPorte
Vigo

Enjoy and as always be careful when using precinct data not yet certified by County / State Election officials.   Smiley

I would imagine that will change the closer we get to certification or possibly post-certification (Depending upon the County).

As I sent you on a PM the other day, regarding PA & NJ (But figured I would share with the Forum):

PA: There were (6) counties which I wasn't able to track down for the 2018 GE by the time I stopped searching in January 2019.

Jefferson
Potter
Bradford
Carbon
Union
Delaware (!!!)

NJ:

Warren County

*** That being said, even for Counties which do not post precinct level results online, folks can do what I used to do back in '88, '90 in Oregon and actually visit the respective County Election Offices or State archival office and get a look at the actual numbers.

Folks with deeper pockets can also pay $$$ to buy precinct level data from County offices, but personally I would be extremely reluctant to part with my hard earned dollars, for information which in my mind should be publicly available information--- Still people do it, which is how I can grab precinct data from some historical elections, knowing that it is officially sourced, even though it is not available through the official State reporting agencies ***

The link to Idaho has been updated at the top of the thread.

Idaho has now finished certifying their results.

https://www.livevoterturnout.com/Idaho/LiveResults/1/en/Index_113.html

1.) Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and select your County (For example I decided to start with Ada County).

2.) At the top of the new window select "Reports".

3.) Scroll down slightly and select by precinct in one of the two Excel formats available.

*** Note not all Counties have necessarily updated yet (So for example I can just grab Ada & Twin Falls County for example, but I will need to wait for Bear Lake   Sad ***

West Virginia:

Link added to master list of States with centralized reporting structure upthead.

https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/WV/106210/web.264614/#/reporting

*** Insert usual caveat that not all Counties will have precinct level results available at this time ***

1.) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select your County (I used Kanawha County as a test).

2.) Scroll over to the right hand side of the webpage and if precinct results are available, you should be able to nab them in an xls, xml, or text based format.

As always use precinct results responsibly until final results are certified...

Enjoy--- as always Peace, Love, & Solidarity with the entire Atlas / TE extended Universe!

I have updated my master map at the top of thread to include latest updates as of 11/23/20:

Gray: Counties with Centralized Ease of Access to precinct Data.

https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=412981.msg7766820#msg7766820

Cyan: States with links to County level precinct results from States which do not report centralized.

White:
States which typically post centralized numbers and I don't want to waste hours of my life at this point trying to track down random precinct results from small counties, when we will likely get some comprehensive dumps sooner or later.
