Raw vote in the state dropped between 2012 and 2016. Current totals have it below 2016's total, but obviously a lot of votes haven't been counted. I've mapped out the current raw vote totals as a share of 2016 by county.

The areas where raw vote totals are currently higher than 2016 (green) was 64-36 averaged across 2012/2016, while the areas where raw totals are currently lower has been only 54-36. Democratic areas do tend to take longer to count, but these are mostly not urban areas, lack heavy mail ballot usage and we are well over a week after the election. What gives?
