Hillary Clinton won the overall white vote in California in 2016, but narrowly lost white men. Biden won white men in California.

It seems like this was a nationwide thing - Biden doing considerably better with White Men than Hillary. To me, kind of confirms the sexist angle, but also that Biden was more relatable to them than Hillary was. Probably both.

CNN exit polls might help. I would imagine at least one female candidate for office, Betty Yee, won white men in California in 2018, winning even some GOP counties like Butte. Yee did better than Gavin Newsom, who also won white men.

Makes you wonder how blue CA would've been if Biden was able to do as well with Hillary this year with Hispanics. His lead likely would've been closer to +35.

I believe Hillary won white men in Washington, so I have to imagine Biden did as well.

I believe Biden won white men in following states:

Washington
Oregon
California
Hawaii
Maine
Vermont
Massachusetts
Rhode Island

Maybe a few I am missing and some like Colorado and Minnesota within MOE but even though Biden won whites overall in both, I am guessing he lost white men and both but won white females by bigger than white males.

For white females, would be interesting if Biden won in any red state (doubtful) and which blue states he fell short here.

Georgia is the only blue state I am certain Biden lost white female vote, but in Pennsylvania and Michigan probably fell slightly short but close either way.

Probably Biden was more relatable to them than Hillary was BECAUSE he is, well, a white man. Hard to separate this too much from the "sexist angle."

Looking at Fox exit polls, it appears Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island were only states where Biden won white female vote so only on West Coast and New England.

By contrast for white females, broke down closely to states Biden won.  So far Arizona, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia only ones exit polls show Biden lost white female vote and in first three its within margin of error so may have won it.  Georgia is only blue state that Biden definitely didn't win white female vote.  Alaska only red state so far showing Biden winning white female vote, but quite skeptical of that.
