Probably a moderate republican who thought Trump would be too dangerous before his presidency but after one term wasn’t as bad as he originally thought.

A moderate Republican with morals. Upper middle class. She thought Trump was too mean and wanted to see a women President. Probably thought that nothing would change with Republicans in congress.

After 4 years, decide that Trump isn't that bad and really liked the economy

My old boss. Generally a neo-con who was concerned Trump would be too much of an isolationist and wanted to see the first female president, but who has been won over by Trump killing Baghdadi and Soleimani and not pulling out of Syria, Iraq, or Yemen.

I thought Carlos Gimenez said he didn't vote for Trump in 2016 and in 2020?

He endorsed Hillary in 2016, but this is him in 2020.

Either one of those could've been just for what was politically best for him, but definately could be the case. I don't think he's officially said how he voted in 2020 but from that it could be implied

I would have voted this way, probably (possible exception for Obama 2008)

But... he DID pull out of Syria and abandoned the Kurds. Do you not remember this is what outraged Mattis enough to resign?

Oh there's a whole story behind this person's reaction to Trump pulling out of NE Syria border areas, but that's a story for another time. Suffice to say, I think his partial about-face was enough to regain their support for him.

Also a female Vietnamese Boomer refugee who wanted to vote for the first female president.

Someone who was worried in 2016 that Trump wouldn't govern as a conservative, but in 2020 really digs those three SCOTUS appointments and a roaring stock market.

Obvious answer is older people who left communist countries. Probably a lot of Cubans, Venezuelans, Vietnamese, and maybe some older Koreans and Chinese people. Beyond that, maybe a generic R who really wanted a female president for some reason? Or maybe some older Indian voters who ended up liking the ties between Trump and Modi?

A Republican who was unsure about Trump in 2016 because of his personality/statements but liked his accomplishments and record.
