I think the world of Mike Lindell.  He's a good and decent man.  I would hope he would not run for Governor.  He would be the most unfairly attacked candidate in history if he ran.

Tim Walz is an incompetent who refused to protect the citizens of Minneapolis from mobs when their local officials would not.  Unfortunately, I cannot see Mike Lindell defeating Walz at the polls.

Lindell is pretty obviously in support of the other mobs.

Lindell's recent meeting with Trump, along with his shilling for him, gives the Democrats a sizable arsenal of completely fair attacks, so I wouldn't worry much about unfair attacks.

Literarly none of that is true. He's a man who called for martial law and military tribunals because he couldn't take losing an election.

Looking forward to Lindell raking in the donations McGrath style to lose by 5.

After the whole martial law stuff it may be more like Walz +8 unless there’s any serious rioting if the cops that killed George Floyd are freed.

I'm not so sure about that. The Twin Cities area didn't seem to change their voting habits in Republicans' favor in spite of the riots in their area. Maybe it was a matter of the riots being months apart from election day, but still.

He said "I will never say what I never will not do," whatever the hell that means.

This is one of the most poorly constructed sentences I've ever read in the English language so I can't be sure, but depending on which double negatives you choose to eliminate, I think this reduces down to either "I will say what I will not do" or "I will never say what I will do," so this is the epitome of a useless statement.

Makes no sense but I guess it means "I will never say what I don't promise."

Or something like that.

I actually think he means “I won’t say examples of what I won’t do”. Ie he won’t say “I’m not running for Governor” even if he isn’t.

Stauber vs Lindell. Who wins the primaries?

Based on name recognition alone, I'd be very surprised if it isn't Lindell. I have high doubts he wins the general, but the primaries will be an easy win for him (plus the Trump endorsement likely helps him a lot).

This may be it for Lindell's potential campaign, as twitter has suspended his account.

https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2021/01/25/mypillow-ceo-mike-lindell-suspended-from-twitter/

The MyPillow account is still up, which I don't think he runs. We'll see how long that lasts even though I doubt any crazy Qanon stuff would come out of that.

Eh he could just announce his running mate early and use his running mate's account as a de facto campaign one.

Of course that would likely get that account suspended too.

I have a feeling that "Being banned from Twitter" is going to become a badge of honor for a GOP primary.

Look at this lunatic...I hope he runs vs Walz...it would be a relatively easier race for Walz against this nutcase when compared to any other potential GOP nominees

Walz wins reelection by 5-10 points but Ellison goes down if the Floyd case goes downhill

This is likely D but closer to safe now than lean. I don't know what I was thinking when I rated this tossup/tilt D, although that may have been before the capitol riots and the whole martial law thing.

Honestly who knows if he'll even run for governor anymore? I could see him running for senate in 2024 against Klobuchar (if she still runs for re-election after her post George Floyd downfall) or 2026 against Smith if he's still relevant by then.

He just had his mic muted at CPAC: https://blogps.com/mypillow-ceo-mike-lindell-has-mic-muted-at-cpac-for-spouting-vaccine-and-election-conspiracies

This is why I'm convinced he won't be the nominee, too deplatformed. And if he is there's going to be a bloodbath in the suburbs.
