Did T-Mac even need their endorsement? Just don't think it warrants the sirens

No but had the Post endorsed Carroll-Foy (or any other candidate, but Carroll-Foy has momentum right now) it would have had a ton of influence on making the race competitive.

This makes the primary pretty much a certainty for TMac.

has the VA GOP clown car primary happened yet?

It's a state convention, not a primary, and it's scheduled for May 8.

But it is a clown car and that's what matters most.

Right now I predict Terry Mcauliffe winning by 3% or so.

This reflects the fact that their 'convention' is more of a firehouse primary than a true convention, with multiple dropboxes across the state. Its far less that the several hundred thousand that can be expected for a primary, but still a healthy amount normal for something in between the two types of nomination processes. The big takeaway is that there probably will be more than enough turnout to override the say of various political insiders who are guaranteed to turnout, so the party isn't guaranteed to nominate their favorites.

Also the GOP decided to allow delegates with a legitimate exemption - e.g. Orthodox Jews - to cast their preferences on Friday ahead of the main event.

GG TMac. Time to open a prediction: will TMac win every county and independent city in the primary or lose a handful?

The T-Mac Train is rolling full steam. The guy actually would be a great president as well.

If Dems are smart, they will avoid nominating anyone that close to Clintonworld going forward!

Youngkin winning the nomination wouldn’t be "meme come true" but "you can’t make this stuff up" meme territory.

This story is being over blown in the media and will not have the same impact as actual closing of schools but this is not good optics for the Virginia Democratic Party either.

To me, the progressive position would be trying to find each students strengths rather than try to have everyone equal in Math and Science.

Also I love how 53K is hailed as some of type of record when the primary for the GOP had 350K in 2017.

For what it is worth, I am not dooming. I do believe this is a more likely Dem hold than WI-Gov. And the latter I have not even written for Democrats at all.

That woman's twitter is something else. Lot of "I'm not a Democrat, I'm not a Republican, I'm a PARENT." But a quick search in open secrets shows the lady in question sent $4,000 to Loeffler, Perdue, and WinRed a week after the the Presidential election. So I don't think we she's the median voter we need to be worried about here.

TMac makes this a Likely D race, and TMac vs Amanda Chase is a Safe D race.

I'm very unlikely to change my mind so after being vaccinated this morning,  I went ahead and voted.

Voted for Terry Mcaufflie for Governor candidate, Sam Rasoul for Lt Governor and Jay Jones for attorney General.

I voted a little differently:

Governor: Terry McAuliffe
Lt. Governor: Hala Ayala
Attorney General: Mark Herring

This is how I'm planning to vote as well. I'm gonna wait until election day it self though, so I can properly research my city elections.

Also the GOP decided to allow delegates with a legitimate exemption - e.g. Orthodox Jews - to cast their preferences on Friday ahead of the main event.

To participate, potential delegates had to fill out a form with their voter ID number and actually sign the form.

Seems that more than 10% of the 53,000 couldn't manage to do that, but the VA GOP apparently will let them vote anyway.  Very liberal of them.

Because I see no reason to vote him out.  I like his record, I think he's going a great job so far, and I want him to continue for another term.

I predict Terry Mcauliffe winning by 15 if it's Trump in heels as his opponent, if it's one of those fake moderate businessmen then I think he wins by 8-10.

More like 5/6. It's not 2017 anymore.
