Wow, the Florida police is investigating the incident in which Demings' security detail pushed a tracker on the ground and in which she defended their actions even after that event.

Did Demmings do it?  No?  Then no one cares, politically speaking.

I mean UWS did write a TL where Rubio is President and his approval rating never falls below like 70%

My point specifically is that she didn't have the guts to call that out or to fire that person.

In addition, Demings is a tax and spend socialist out of step with the needs of everyday Floridians. In 2017, she voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and she voted against permanently extending the 2017 tax cuts. She voted against the Protecting Family and Small Business Tax Cuts Act of 2018 that provides permanent tax cuts to individuals and small-business tax cuts. And two weeks ago, even when the majority of Americans agree that we are in a Bidencession (as the GDP shrinks for 2 quarters in a row at 0.9% pace), Demings voted for that tax and spend bill that will do nothing to reduce the inflation and so she voted to drive up health care cost for 220 million Americans (which will hurt notably the seniors in Florida that are key to victory in Florida), to add $300 million in Green New Deal funding, to increase the size of the IRS through the adiction of 87,000 IRS agents (making it larger than the Pentagon, State Department, FBI and Border Control combined) and to increase taxes on Americans making less than $400,000 a year. It isn't surprising that Val Demings has 0 experience in economics.

But on the other hand, Rubio is the only candidate in this race who has chaired the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He created the Paycheck Protection Program, which supported more than six million Florida jobs and saved nearly half a million Florida small businesses when the pandemic hit. And he successfully fought to double the child tax credit for working families and put more money in the pockets of Floridians. Those policies along with the tax-cut, free enterprise and small government policies adopted by DeSantis resulted that 2 million jobs have been created in Florida since April 2020, that Florida's unemployment rate is now at 2.7 % (the lowest rate since February 2020) and that Florida has a $20 billion budget surplus.

Lol of course he’s the only candidate who chaired the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, he’s the only candidate who is an incumbent senator

Unemployment is at 3.5%. If we're in a recession, then your point that Florida's is 2.7% doesn't mean anything.

Also, the 'Tax And Spend Socialist' state of California has a surplus of $97 Billion.

I'm still skeptical that Demings can make it particularly close, and I highly doubt she'll win. But it would be pretty funny if Rubio narrowly lost for the same reason as Bill Nelson; namely, taking his race for granted in a year that should have been favorable for his party. Like I said, though, I do not expect this to happen.

Ah yes, gotta watch out for those “far left Marxists”, who are so much more dangerous than “far right Marxists” or “moderate Marxists.”

Rubio officially thinks 10-year-old girls should have to carry their father’s babies. That’s a fact. He supports that.

It's even more frustrating that he even admits that it's an unpopular position to hold.

Maybe I'm a hack but suddenly this race is viable.

Florida is a strongly pro-choice state, that position, even for someone who this race leans towards, is completely untenable.

Looks like Rubio didn't get the memo that they're desperately backpedaling now, lol.

In all seriousness, this is why I think GOP triangulation on abortion is doomed. Lots of these people are true believers and they're not gonna sanction what they believe to be murder for a couple extra votes. Blake Masters, sure, he doesn't actually care about the unborn, but if you try this with Tudor Dixon or even Ron Johnson I think you run into problems, and if you have prominent GOP candidates not falling in line it kneecaps the pivot.

He’s damned if he changes his position, damned if he doesn’t. May as well be consistent, acknowledge people disagree, and trust he’ll win because Florida is partisan enough and trusts him.

Eh, I wouldn't call you a hack, but this just points to a typical Floridian result to me: narrow R win. Marco's still going to get landslide margins in the Cubano regions of Miami-Dade and will still easily win the many GOP partisans upstate, and that's all he really needs.

At least Demmings campaign seems competent comapred to Christ. A lot of her ads are good because they fight back against things like defund the police and higher taxes without playing the moderate card that'd turn off a lot of progressives.

Still likely won't be enoguh for her to win but I think she'll keep the Senate race closer than the Governors race.

This rac is 50/47 DeSantis and 50/48 Rubio if anyone thinks that it's over, think again, the poll that was just released confirmed that it's still a close race, thats why I have it D it's the first Battleground state up and then NC and OH blue states aren't swing states they were only won by Trump during Hillary Benghazi Rs have failed to win a single blue state since 2016

.... Florida is an incredibly pro-choice state. Not sure how this tracks.

Not just that, but Rubio signed on to this but also supports a complete ban as well
