Sounds like Democrats will be uniting behind Val Demings for 2022. I hope Murphy runs against Rick Scott in 2024. She seemed to hint at a 2024 Senate run in a video announcing her decision:

Interesting that she didn't announce her reelection plans - just that she plans to spend '22 helping rebuild the party. I assume she's waiting to see what her district will look like, but hopefully she runs for House this year.

Good point. If her district becomes impossible for a democrat to win, maybe she’ll retire from the House to help “rebuild the party” and then run for Senate in 2024.

This race after thinking about is safe R, D's spend money in IA, OH and NC, I won't donate to this race

So instead of wasting >$150 million on this Likely R race, they should waste them on a Safe D race? Only donate to IA to take down Randy Feenstra, and even then, the Fink's coattails will probably take care of that.

WI, PA, NH and GA are likely D until they start giving us polls in OH, NC and IA and FL

Rs are getting rid of Unemployment, voter suppression and pro second amendment rights in all the red leaning battleground state

Because Finkenauer could win by enough to have megacoattails which could extend over multiple states, and help Democrats in places like IN, KS, KY, LA, or even SC (though obviously it wouldn't affect deep red states like FL or GA.)

Rubio being Cuban helps him alot and will spill over to Gov race, D's must understand that, just like Menendez, Padilla, Grisham all help them being Latino in those states

Murphy WON'T run against Marco after all: https://www.politico.com/news/2021/05/24/stephanie-murphy-marco-rubio-senate-490563

I guess they're putting all their weight behind Demings. Maybe Murphy will run in 2024?

This is strategically smart (rare for the FL D’s). Murphy (or any other Dem) has pretty much has zero shot against Rubio or DeSantis in 2022, but she’s still by FAR their best candidate.

She would probably fare better against Skeletor in 2024, though Scott will still probably win that race.

Looks like she came to her senses. It won't save Demings from ruining her career, however.

Murphy is probably their strongest candidate, so it is strategically smarter from the D’s perspective to send sacrificial lambs against Rubio and DeSantis in 2022. A Skeletor vs Murphy Senate Race in 2024 would be very interesting, but I think Scott still wins fairly easily.

I make a BOLD bet: Murphy won't win her own House Race next year effectivly ending the Democrats Chances to beat Rick Scott in 2024.

She can just run in Demmings’ seat which is safe Dem.

Given how Republican trending FL is, I can absolutely see this happening, though she can run in another district.

Regardless, Florida is gonna get even uglier for the Dems very soon.

Yes, she could BUT Aramis Ayala said that she would run to replace Demings in the House. Highly unlikely Murphy would beat Ayala in a D-Primary.

I'm hoping that Eskamani can run for one of the districts, depending on how the lines fall.

The Dems are doomed in FL VAN DEMING'S, MURPHY AND CRIST voted for Kate's Law.

We are best off contesting OH, NC and IA and FL has a Cuban Embargo on it anyways

That's why Ds are unable to win FL

This along with your other posts about DeSantis and Rubio winning Florida by 10+ is getting so absurd, I am starting to think you have some kind of personal financial stake in Republicans winning Florida.  Trump doing better in Miami and subsequently winning Florida by around 3 points is not evidence of Florida becoming a safe Republican state.  This is getting ridiculous.

Aren’t you the same person who said 2022 will *somehow* be a D+10 national environment?

Talk about “ridiculous”.

Rubio is Vulnerable they sent me a poll showing Rubio only beating Grayson 47/42

56 Senators c'mon let's go PR and DC Statehood next session of Congress 118th

Speaker Mccarthy plse, that's why the D's are up 10 pts on Generic ballot, the Rs are blocking Everything like the Commission and they just objected to a bipartisan bill of Ernst and Gillibrand on sexual harrassment in military, the Filibuster needs to go

Grayson hasn't yet been scrutinized. He's one of the most anti-police and most pro-open border members of Congress. He accidently tweeted "F*** the police!", authored a 2014 bill called the "Grayson Amendment" that would have denied funds for body armors for sheriffs and he said during his 2018 run for Congress that ICE should be abolished, which is radical and dangerous at a time crime rate is rising.

https://clerk.house.gov/evs/2014/roll329.xml

https://floridapolitics.com/archives/271991-alan-grayson-darren-soto-wayne-lienitzky-spread-on-ice-in-political-salsa-cd-9-debate/

And Grayson is too socialist for Florida. He endorsed Bernie Sanders twice, a man who praised Castro's Cuba as a model, which will deepen even further his Cuban-American support deficit.

Grayson would definitely lose by double digits in the general election.

Agreed on Rubio, but I have a very hard time seeing DeSantis win by 5, Biden's performance in Miami-Dade was more or less rock bottom for them and Democrats obviously have room to grow in Seminole+Duval, plus I'd expect Crist to get somewhat of a home bump in Pinellas, and also, I doubt DeSantis will do as well as Trump in Osceola.

Yes they do, or at least by high-single digits. Inflation is rising and Val Demings voted 100 % of the time with Nancy Pelosi (not 80 %, not 90 % but 100 %) and her socialist agenda. She is just too left-wing for a state that is trending to the right.
