After Scott's 3 consecutive wins in Florida, I am convinced he has some magic that will lead him to the presidency. IMO defeating Nelson in 2018 was the most impressive campaign of that cycle. I think he has a good chance of running and if he runs a good chance of winning the primary and if he wins the primary a good chance of winning the general election. Has both Trump-like appeal to the base and can win back some moderate suburbanites who left under Trump. Plus being from Florida gives him a leg up.

Rick Scott is the most dangerous Republican post-Trump candidate.

He always ekes out wins; if it is Harris vs. Scott it will be the same election week we are having right now

I’m convinced Rick Scott’s ‘magic’ is called running in Florida.

I don’t know how that can translate nationally.

If he does win the nomination, he'll definitely win the election. He's a very strong candidate for some reason.

He would honestly be one of the GOPs best candidates. He wins almost every race, he can appeal to the neocon/ establishment GOP as well as Trumpers, he would please McConnell and Trump. Experienced. VP if he becomes GOP nominee? Hmmmm, maybe Steve Daines for regional balance?

Please, no! I would actually prefer DeSantis over him-and I am notorious for how much I despise DeSuckass (right down to using this name that I'm disappointed hasn't caught on).

We have to find and destroy those horcruxes, stat!

In all seriousness though, I don't think he would necessarily be the titanium tilt R titan he is in Florida nationally. Though just by virtue of that superstition maybe he could be the first GOP candidate to win the popular vote (by <1%, of course!).

On the right track but not quite. It is well documented that Rick Scott actually's more of a Voldemort.

Angry  Angry  Angry  Sums up my sentiments perfectly

I'm half certain that the NAVY cap the guy uses during campaigns and during Hurricane recovery efforts is a horcrux in itself lol. Dude puts it on and becomes 1000% more likable to the untrained eye.

The entire TalkElections forum as soon as Rick Scott puts on his NAVY cap:

He has the charisma of a wet paper napkin and looks like bat-boy though I'm sure he'd pull all stops to get the nomination.

No, obviously Rick Scott is going to lose the popular vote by 5% while winning the tipping point state by 0.1% with something weird going on in that state.

Sorry he may play well in clown show Florida but he doesn't have the charisma to be on a national ticket.  See John Kerry, Al Gore and Mitt Romney for more.
