Maybe he would see it as a strong statement to run the exact same ticket again, but his campaign would likely recommend picking a running mate who expands the map based on 2020 gains. I don't think he'll have a problem securing the voters Pence, his initial foot-in-the-door to GOP acceptance, brought in during 2016.
