Didn't y'all agree that Section II had to be scrubbed?

Those of us who were in that Council did. There are multiple first term members in this Council including myself.

The bill was introduced in a form that included section 2, and I support the bill as introduced.

Hello, just wanted to fly on in from Arkansas to make a comment.

As someone who has a pet peeve of vague and weirdly-written wording, I don't like this. "Public place" can be a loose term. Depending on how you define it, no jurisdiction in your region will be allowed to prohibit Lincolnites from consuming alcohol in public libraries, government buildings, hospitals, and parks. I don't have a degree in legal interpretation, so don't take my words as gospel, but I'd consider either rewording or scrapping this section. It's a legal nightmare waiting to happen.

Due to the fact that I have access to a computer, I'll advocate for this,
I believe this for the reasons I outlined in the previous attempt to pass this bill
Open Container Laws target people of color
My reason why we should lower to drinking age to 18: If an 18 year old can join the military or they can smoke, get married, work full time, and they are treated as a adult legally,  a 18 year old should have the right to drink alcohol.

I'd personally be in favour of a bill to make alcohol legal at 16 for beer and cider; but this is a good bill. Though I'd be very surprised if it had not been tackled before already.

I'm moving to table this, we already debated it once, and debating it again is a waste of time

This Council has different members now with different opinions.

The vote is on the motion offered.

Presuming the bill isn't tabled, I'll introduce a amendment to correct grammatical mistakes
