Biden is leading the popular vote 5 to 0 with 1 precinct reporting. I don't want to react too much to early reports, but I think this means Biden might win unanimously.

Will exit polling account for all the early votes?

I’m about to go to bed with a sense of peace and not dread, optimism and not anxiety. And no, there is no Xanax involved. Let’s bring it home tomorrow.

It's been 4 years of horror and pain upon horror and pain. Time to bring it home. I'm not feeling optimistic - in fact, I'm nervous as hell. But let's do this!

I don't even feel like we're voting for Presidential candidates. I feel like we're choosing between America and not America, and I hope and pray Americans choose America.

I believe so. They've been exit polling during the early vote this year instead of calling people to ask how they early voted.

Makes sense. Thanks.

So in the NH early town results Trump lost no voters from 2016 but Biden picked up two people who wrote in last time.

We can't really extrapolate who Biden won over in Dixville Notch since we don't know which resident left since 2016.

And I'll note, you can also look at the midnight results as a 9% improvement for Joe over Hillary's 2016 margins.

Trump has 60% of the vote. It's all over. I can't believe we failed to see this coming

I'm curious, aren't there any other small villages in the US to pull the same stunt?

Only New Hampshire has a law that allows this.

Good morning, everybody!

The day(s) ahead will most certainly be filled with thrills, spills, and everything in between.  It is a great honor to be able to spend it with you guys.  Whether you're a MAGAfan, a Biden Backer, or something else altogether, I've learned so much from so many of you during this cycle and I've made so many new Atlas-friends.  And thank you all for putting up with my terrible attempts at humor and my sh**t-eating grin plastered under every one of my posts.

If you're voting in-person today or you're just going to be out and about, PLEASE PLEASE be safe -- in both a civil and a health sense. COVID-19 aside, remember that we're also in cold and flu season.

Everybody please take care of yourselves in a mental sense, too.  This is a contentious, stressful, and nerve-wracking time for ALL of us. It goes without saying, but it's okay to take a break.  It's okay to close Atlas, turn off the TV, get away from Instagram or Facebook or Twitter.  There will be time for chattering, arguing, and number-crunching later.

Okay y'all! Let's do this thing! Oh, and as for my final prediction: Biden wins, 290-248.

Lezzgo! Election Day is here!

------

P.S.  To get your election day started with some *epic* music, here's a track called "Mutiny on the Sea".  Some of you may recognize it as the bumper music that CNN used during its coverage of the Brexit referendum in 2016.

Can someone recommend the best strategy for an election watcher in the UK, five hours ahead of Eastern? When will the main action happen and when will the path be set?

Have options of staying up as late at possible, which means IN and KY will close and be called at midnight, but I'm not going to make it much past 11pm Eastern ; or getting some sleep in early and rising at say 9 or 10pm Eastern, but would I have missed much of the fun by then?

Don't expect many insights from the very early results.

Ha, that's probably the most fun thing Trump has posted in four years! Why couldn't he have governed with a smile on his face and attempt to love his fellow citizens rather than being the aggressive, confrontational man that we've seen.

I very briefly was cautiously optimistic about Trump's presidency when he began, his campaign through the primaries was individualistic, he didn't fall back on republican talking points, defended his beliefs which were quite moderate in many cases compared to his opponents and spoke to the people rather than to GOP interests.

He could have tried to govern as the outsider he claimed to be, to shake things up, yet he has governed as a hard-line Conservative whilst being a quintessional insider, working to enrich and entrench the monied elite as far as possible. He has driven division and hatred as he seeks revenge on his critics at every turn.

It does feel like an opportunity missed, but his abrasive and thin-skinned personality has trumped everything else. Four more years of that doesn't bear thinking about.

But I do like a ridiculous dancing video to an old disco classic, hats off to him for that Smiley
