This is an essential bill that will further the effort to relocate Kansas to Fremont. While in the South, Kansas is being mistreated and marginalized by a region that largely does not support its more progressive views. This relocation has fallen out of the news in recent months, but we should seek to reignite it. We must move Kansas to Fremont to truly satisfy our Great Attorney General Harry S Truman.

I urge the Council to pass this legislation to state our region's support for this move and to reignite discussion of it among the affected regions.

I think this is kind of superfluous but I'll sign it if passed by the Council.

There is no reason to support this, as I remember the meme's been over since like May.

Being a Frémonter myself, I have but one thing to say about this bill: please don't, but the gesture is appreciated.

The Lincoln government should absolutely not fuel the flames of this petty border spat between Fremont and the South, and I urge the governor and council members to think twice about the potential consequences.

Having listened to the concerns of our friends who have chimed in here, I will no longer support this legislation if passed and we shouldn't really waste our time debating it.

I recognize that this issue has become less salient over time, but in my view, that isn't a good thing. The people of Kansas do not deserve to be in the same region as reviled places like Alabama and Oklahoma. They should be in Fremont.

I would still urge the Council to adopt this as an attempt to strengthen the hand of Fremont by demonstrating popular support for their side. That being said I certainly respect the council's time and will call for a vote on this once the required 72 hours of debate has elapsed.

Also this tabling vote isn't valid per the SOAP, only the Chancellor can motion to table and I don't support tabling this

This is why we need to end the Philly Plan

Wby? Two people who voted to include Kansas, opposes this (me and OBD) and the only thing you need is Truman himself to comment on it.

It's just a political statement, which Truman himself has said, and it's a political statement that I am in favor of making, especially since the Southerners haven't exactly been nice to people from Lincoln on the forum (for instance Reactionary called me something really nasty, go over to AAD in the Worst Posts thread, if you want to know what he said) and they are the ones who caused the biggest problems on Discord and forced me to leave that toxic dumpster fire. Also frankly, many of the Southerners continue to defend the Confederate flag and I am perfectly fine with spiting them if they continue to defend something so racist as "southern history."

You are more than welcome to call for a final vote if you wish, though

Also getting rid of the Philadelphia Plan is kind of naive and is ignorant to the problems that occurred before it. Just because you don't get something, doesn't mean you get rid of it. If that was the case all of our laws would be written in the language of a 5 year old. Also one thing I note is that the opponents have not really ever came up with a replacement for it, that is actually adequate, more often than not the replacements cause more confusion.

The rules also say that I can suspend any section I want unless someone objects.

Is this an objection to the consideration of the motion to table?
