Virginia will trend a little to the right relative to 2016 considering the margins Biden will get out of California, the closeness of Texas and Biden doing better in the Midwest and Georgia.
But...
Democrats have shown ability to compete in moderately GOP areas in Virginia. I have had a hunch since I moved here that within a few cycles that local Democrats will out perform federal Democrats with state Democrats dominating the state government but the vote for federal elections being just a tad to the left of the country.
