If that turns out accurate, it'll be the best Dem performance in NJ since 1964.

More evidence that Biden will win Pennsylvania.

Evidence that Biden is improving in suburbs globally. NJ is basically one giant suburb with a piece of Newark and Jersey City, both of which are pretty suburban

Their party ID is a bit too DEM-friendly. Looking at the ballot return trends Biden will probably win NJ by 20%.

Newark is a strong MAYBE as it has some low density housing in the outskirts, but both are definitely cities.

They're both borderline cases of cities vs suburbs. Jersey City physically looks more like a city but has a more suburban culture, whereas Newark looks more like a suburban or rural area but is culturally a city.

I'd be surprised if Biden hits 60% here. I say he'll end up around 56-58%

They are not close to suburbs, certainly not for the purposes of any political discussion.

Jersey City is basically a suburb of NY and I can see Newark from my window; it’s definately not a city

This type of result is better than I expected out of New Jersey. We'll see if it holds next week but it's a positive sign for the Northeast (and PA).

I have been to Jersey City so many times and have seen Newark. They are both pretty suburban, even if Jersey City May look like a city

...Ignoring the bizarre discussion of whether New Jersey's two largest urban areas are cities or not, I would love for this result to happen in my state! I think it's a bit too generous to Biden though. He'll still win big but I don't expect by being more than around 20% of the vote. Van Drew is probably screwed though, and that's going to be the best part! Should he lose he will easily win the "Biggest Idiot Politician of the Year" award, yes even more than McSally or Trump.

Women and college-educated suburbanites are revolting against the Republican Party-and New Jersey has plenty of both. I would be shocked if Biden actually hit the 60% mark here. Not even Obama managed to do so, and as has been noted on here, the last Democrat to do so well in New Jersey was Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
