Hello,

I am in awe of the community here, and the amount of work that's surely gone into aggregating this data from the states!

I would like to use some of the data here for a personal project. In particular, I am interested in the total number of votes counted in each state in each US Presidential contest. If I could also split those out by candidate that would be incredible.

Two questions for you all:

1. Is there a database containing this data that I can somehow access, or a collection of .csvs somewhere containing it, or something? I would greatly prefer not to try to scrape the numbers from the webpages one by one.

2. Where can I find details on how the data was collected? In particular, I'm curious about how to cite the source for these totals.

Dave sells that sort of tabulated data, packaged into either Excel or csv format.
