I had a virtual extended family happy hour this past weekend and naturally the election came up and we had a good discussion of how our voting habits have shifted over time. I thought it might be fun to create trends in Atlas extended families over time. How has your extended family trended over the past 3 cycles?

Here's mine to start with:

1. Mother-in-Law (GA): Romney 2012, Hillary 2016, Biden 2020
2. Father-in-law (GA): Romney 2012, Libertarian 2016, Biden 2020
3. Wife (GA): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Undecided 2020 (probably leaning Biden given we share similar political views)
4. Me (GA): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Biden 2020
5. Brother (TX): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Trump 2020
6. Sister-in law (TX): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Undecided 2020 (leaning Trump)
7. Sister (FL):Obama 2012, Hillary 2016, Biden 2020
8. Mom (GA): Obama 2012, Hillary 2016, Biden 2020
9. Dad (GA): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Undecided 2020 (leaning Trump)
10. Brother in law (GA): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Trump 2020
11. Sister in law (NC): Romney 2012, Trump 2016, Undecided 2020 (can't tell how she leans, she seems genuinely conflicted)

Total in 2012: Romney 9, Obama 2
Total in 2016: Trump 7, Hillary 3, Libertarian 1
Total in 2020: Biden 6 (including leaning), Trump 4 (including leaning), Undecided 1

I would do this, but every close member of my family (Myself (NY), Parents (VA), Grandmother (NH), Unclesx3 (MA/OH), Auntsx3 (MA/OH), Cousinsx2(MA/OH)) is a straight ticket Democratic voter, somewhere on the spectrum from Blue Dog moderate to Democratic Socialist.

I think I have a few great uncles or parent's cousins that are Romney/Clinton/Biden or Obama/Trump/???. I have no close family members that are vocal Trump supporters.
