Liberty Front: 30%-35%
Dominant party, although it usually operates under a coalition system or a minority deal-as-you-go scheme with other parties. Supports marijuana, gay marriage, abortion rights, and gun rights. On economic issues, it supports keeping taxes and spending low, while still accepting the need for some welfare policies. Because of this, the party's usual platform includes support for public education, food security, and healthcare through a public option to compete with the free market. The party's pet issue though is housing. The Liberty Front supports relaxed zoning laws to have more modern Canadian-style mid/high rises and European mixed-use zoning.

Social Democratic: 15%-25%

Supports legal pot, gay marriage, abortion up to 20 weeks, and the rest of the liberal social policies. Supports universal healthcare, paid family leave, free college, and a strong welfare state. Where it differs from the Liberals, however, is that it supports strong unions to the point of sectoral bargaining. However, it generally believes that Communism and the far-left make it harder for them to enact their agenda, so they support anti-Communist policies and sees Islamic fundamentalism as a threat to social liberalism. Has a faction of consistent life ethic Christians who are more moderate on social issues and anti-abortion.

Conservative Party: 15%-20%

Generally don't care about fiscal issues except that they oppose spending more on them (although more has been done on the health care and education fronts ITTL anyway). They are strongly opposed to Islamic fundamentalism (though they can be a bit generous about applying that lable), and see it as a danger to 'our way of life', which contrary to OTL Republicans includes and minorities. Basically the type of people who will have a Black Lesbian Senator fearmonger about Muslims and trans people for fifteen hours straight.

Liberal Party: 10%-15%

The same social and immigration policies of the SocDems, but catered to wealthier liberals and yuppies. Therefore, while they support social spending they are much less hot on unions and place more emphasis on social issues.

Green Party: 5%-7%

The liberals, but with more strict climate policies. Usually poll low since all of the other parties have their own strategies that also lower emissions.
